Health & Human Services

NHBP’s Health and Human Services Department Compliance Program operates in accordance to the guidelines established by the Office of Inspector General and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

NHBP’s Health and Human Services Department (HHSD) is committed to providing quality healthcare services to the community while upholding the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and regulatory compliance. Our compliance program is designed to ensure that we meet and exceed legal and ethical requirements in all aspects of our operations. By establishing and maintaining an effective compliance program, we can protect the rights and privacy of our patients, prevent fraud, waste, and abuse, and foster a culture of trust and transparency. Our program includes comprehensive policies and procedures which provide standardization of operational actives, regular training and education for our hybrid entity staff, internal audits and monitoring, and a confidential reporting mechanism for concerns and violations without fear of retaliation. Through our compliance efforts, we aim to enhance patient safety, improve the quality of care, and uphold the values of our tribal community. We believe that a robust compliance program is essential in providing our patients with the highest level of care and maintaining their trust in our services.
